Colossians 1:15–19
[15] Christ is exactly like God, who cannot be seen. He is the first-born Son, superior to all creation.
[16] Everything was created by him, everything in heaven and on earth, everything seen and unseen, including all forces and powers, and all rulers and authorities. All things were created by God’s Son, and everything was made for him.
[17] God’s Son was before all else, and by him everything is held together.
[18] He is the head of his body, which is the church. He is the very beginning, the first to be raised from death, so that he would be above all others.
[19] God himself was pleased to live fully in his Son.
Hebrews 1:5–6
[5] God has never said to any of the angels,
“You are my Son, because today I have become your Father!”
Neither has God said to any of them,
“I will be his Father, and he will be my Son!”
[6] When God brings his first-born Son into the world, he commands all of his angels to worship him.
Matthew 28:18
[18] Jesus came to them and said: I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth!
Hebrews 1:3
[3] God’s Son has all the brightness of God’s own glory and is like him in every way. By his own mighty word, he holds the universe together. After the Son had washed away our sins, he sat down at the right side of the glorious God in heaven.
Hebrews 1:2–6
[2] But now at last, God sent his Son to bring his message to us. God created the universe by his Son, and everything will someday belong to the Son.
[3] God’s Son has all the brightness of God’s own glory and is like him in every way. By his own mighty word, he holds the universe together. After the Son had washed away our sins, he sat down at the right side of the glorious God in heaven.
[4] He had become much greater than the angels, and the name he was given is far greater than any of theirs.
[5] God has never said to any of the angels,
“You are my Son, because today I have become your Father!”
Neither has God said to any of them,
“I will be his Father, and he will be my Son!”
[6] When God brings his first-born Son into the world, he commands all of his angels to worship him.
